Movers & Shakers
There are many characters surrounding the Lawrence story. Some of these characters not only played a part in helping Lawrence but themselves had interesting lives. It is worth mentioning them as in some cases their private letters, often between each other, reveal information that is often missed by concentrating on Lawrence's involvement and achievements in the Arab Revolt story. It is understandable as much of this information has only come to light as the estates of those involved have come into the public domain. The main players are those who in most cases also worked at the Arab Bureau in Cairo. For want of a better description I've called them the Movers and Shakers!
